Investigating TPU 95A

I finally bought Ultimaker TPU 95A.
I used it in Curas' recomended settings.  By default 0.1mm resolution.  With brim, no glue, and I used the door that comes with the kit for UM2+ and 3.

Mine is a UM 2+

First I printed a panty for Angel.  I thought it would be like spandex.  It isn't though.  The panties flex at .5mm thickness but they will not stretch in Angel's body.

I made some drawings with acrylic paint, but if you rub it, it goes off.  If you don't do it the paint stays in place.

Then I tried flexi filament with my 3D pen.  This really sticks!!!

So I discovered that this is probably a good way to glue TPU parts together.

Here is Angel with her decorated panties:

Next I printed Beethoven bust.  I downloaded a scanned stl from the British Museum and cut it so that it would not need supports in the face, laying it on its back.  It requiered supports only in the back of the head.  I scaled it to 50mm height.

I was amazed at the resolution!!

Then I printed an adaptor for my iphone car holder.   I have a very good one from my iphone 5.  But now I have an iphone 6 plus.

I designed it in Fusion 360.

But this time it really showed its flexibility.  This is just a photo of the stl file as seen in Preview.  The TPU one turned OK.  But it is so flexible that it will not hold the Iphone so I will use the one I printed in PLA and later on I will try ABS.

Before this one I had another printed in PLA also, but I left in the car and it deformed from the heat of the sun.
